On the 9th of June, at 2.30 pm, Ernesto São Simão Lda. made the public presentation of the ERGOMARINE project, within the scope of the Blue Growth program, financed by the EEA Grants program and operated by the Direção-Geral da Politica do Mar.
It took place at the Passenger Terminal at the Port of Leixões and was also broadcast through the Zoom digital platform.
The event began with a presentation by Dr. Maria João Lois, Deputy Coordinator of the EEA Grants National Management Unit (via Zoom), followed by expert speakers, national and international, in the context of oyster cultivation, namely, Olivia Eidenberger, from Nodus Factory, Rui Moreira, from the Portuguese Association of Aquacultures, Manuel São Simão, from Ernesto São Simão Lda., and Rodrigo Ozório, from CIIMAR - Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research. At the end of the presentations, there was a discussion and presentation of the initial prototypes of the Ergomarine project, which were on display at the event's premises.
The launch event of the Ergomarine project allowed to demonstrate the importance and relevance of this innovation project, which aims to develop solutions for the practice of oysters farming, supporting the growth of the Blue Economy in Portugal.
This event had more than 30 participants, including in-person and online participation.
